Tips on Injury Prevention

August marks the end of the summer and the return of the fall sports season. As athletes have started to prepare for their season with preseason practices and training camps, injuries begin to plague the teams. Our goal at The Training Room Physical Therapy and Performance is for athletes to enjoy and excel in healthy sports participation. One of the most important ways to promote this is to reduce the number of children being sidelined from sports-related injuries.

We are proud to bring this amazing workshop to our community on May 5-6, 2018. The course will be hosted at our Cherry Hill, NJ facility and is the first time it’s being offered in the Philadelphia area.
This course is where you can learn the popular and incredibly effective new workout practice, taking the steps to becoming a Certified Instructor. The two-day event is five and a half hours each day, 1:00pm – 6:30pm on Saturday and 9:00am – 2:30pm on Sunday.

Patients often come in with pain being the center of their life, with it dominating all aspects. It kills me every time, because this isn’t the way things have to be. The way the medical profession has handled pain over the last twenty years hasn’t done much to help things. Instead of discussing pain, acknowledging it for what it is, and moving towards a solution, we get stuck on the worst aspects of pain. The way pain is stigmatized has created a pain problem, and it’s time for that to stop.
